I believe the way we learn and grow is evolving.

That we’re moving away from the information age with its how to’s, checklists and blue-prints.

That we no longer want to listen to others tell us what we should do or how to live our lives to be “successful”.

Instead, we want to listen to the whispers of our own heart – to forge our own path and live life on our terms.

And so we’re looking to teachers and guides who will help us do that.

Teachers who know they don’t have all the answers but who share their wisdom in a way that has us connect to ourselves, to our own heart and soul.

Guides who gift us golden nuggets, not in a prescriptive “this worked for me and will work for you” way, but in a way that allows us to take what resonates and leave behind that which doesn’t.

Over the past few years my writing has been evolving – it’s personal, it’s raw and there have been many times when I have questioned whether my words are “good enough” – whether people actually want to read them.

But I also know that my writing is the kind I long to read and there’s a depth to it that many people resonate with. So I share openly and with love.

I hope you enjoy reading my words and you evolve and grow as a result.

I can never know what’s best for you – only you can know that – but I hope my stories and insights will support you in following the path that lights you up and fills your heart and soul with joy.

Much love,

Melina

Time to Fly

Somewhere deep inside of you there’s a part of you that wants to be unleashed. A part of you that wants to sing, to dance, to laugh, to run, to fly... A part of you that craves freedom above everything else. It’s time … Time for that part of you to come...

Happy New Year!

I recorded a brief video whilst out walking the dog to wish you a very Happy New Year. I hope 2018 brings you all your heart's desires.

What do you really want?

What do you really want? (When I ask those words I always hear the Spice Girls singing – which I think is probably the perfect juxtaposition between something very deep and profound and something very light-hearted and trivial). I believe asking the question “what do...

How good are you at receiving?

I believe that the number of gifts we receive is directly proportional to how good we are at receiving. And I am talking about all gifts – support, love, help … not just actual physical gifts. Several years ago I went through a phase of winning something in every...

National Stress Awareness Day

Today is National Stress Awareness Day! I awoke to posts on my Facebook feed asking what steps we take to manage stress. Stress has become so much a part of our lives that managing stress is considered to be very important skill to learn. But whilst I’ve seen many...

How our commitments can exacerbate a “not good enough” story

In the personal development world it is often recommended that we publicly announce our commitments – maybe not to the whole world, but certainly in a nurturing group who will hold us accountable and support us when we fall down. I joined a group in June to support me...

Ever get that “I hate my life” feeling?

Do you ever get that feeling? That you hate your life? Or is it just me? Because right now that’s EXACTLY how I feel. And no, don’t worry I’m not going to give you a sob story about my woes and precisely what it is I hate about my life! Instead I’m going to share some...

To complain or not to complain … That is the question

Well, it’s been a while since I blogged! I took most of August off and it's taken me longer to get back into the swing of things than I anticipated. I spent a wonderful 2 weeks in Corfu where it felt like time stopped. No emails, very little Facebook, just lots of...

Calling all Rebels, Misfits, and Rule Breakers

Do you ever feel that you’re the only one who thinks a certain way? That if you tell people what you actually believe and how you actually feel they’ll cast you out quicker than you can say “but that’s not what I meant”? That in a group situation you always feel that...

The “great to be alive” feeling

Imagine waking up each and every morning with a feeling of excitement and joy bubbling up inside of you. Knowing that today is going to be amazing – no matter what happens. You know the feeling – the one you get at the start of your holidays, on the eve of a big...

I am not a “work in progress”. Here’s why …

Something that has been bugging me for a while is this concept that we’re a “work in progress”. Every time I hear someone say it I want to scream “no we’re not”. We’re an extraordinary, beautiful human being. How can we possibly be a “work in progress”? When we look...

Five Lives! An Invitation

Getting the clarity that Gateway to Freedom is such an extraordinary, amazing, life-changing, transformational journey (of course I’m not at all biased) has given me a surge of inspiration -not to mention confidence. And so to share more and give you a sneak preview...

Full Circle

So it’s the middle of July – over halfway through the year! In just a few days the school summer holidays begin!  I’m not sure how manic it’s going to be.   I’ve been trying to get organised, but liaising with lots of different parents to sort out dates and activities...

A new take on “You are not broken”

This morning as I was going through my emails I read a line which stopped me in my tracks.  It was: “You are not broken. There is nothing to fix.” It was the exact same thing I have been saying. But this morning as I read those words, I realised that they’re not true....

Tiny cog in a big wheel

As I’ve been on this journey of transformation, what is becoming clearer and clearer is that I must write. Write with my heart, write with love and write often. God gave me the gift of communication. It matters not if I like it. It is of little consequence whether my...

Time to start busting a few spiritual myths

Over the past few years I’ve been questioning everything – including many of the personal development and spiritual mantras that we learn and take as gospel. One of these is: How you do anything is how you do everything I first heard this way back early on in my...

Can you earn a living playing with your kids on the beach?

A few days ago I read an email from the awesome Julia Bramble - http://www.bramblebuzz.co.uk. Julia teaches how to get new leads and customers and is a whizz at social media – especially Facebook.  I love her emails because she always shares from her heart and gives...

Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans

Today I am reminded of John Lennon’s words: “Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans” Last night I scheduled an email to go out at 8am this morning. It was full of excitement and joy. I was finally announcing my brand new programme Total...

What honours you honours everyone

Back in 2012 my mentor taught me: “What honours you honours everyone” It was a total revelation. This whole concept that I could follow my heart and choose to do things which served me – and that by doing so I was also serving others - that honouring myself was not...

The two non-negotiable rules when playing the Business Game

What’s your client’s biggest problem? What’s the number one thing they want solved? When I taught sales and marketing – especially to coaches and consultants we always started with these questions. Followed by “what’s your solution”? When it came to writing marketing...

Authentic Aligned Marketing

Last week I was traveling by train to London, surfing Facebook (as you do) and I read a promotional post for a coaching programme. One line stood out for me: "This programme's not for everyone". I've used that line myself in the past - but as I read it I was struck by...

A Healing Journey

For many years I have been a witness. A witness to my own life. To the patterns I play out. To the way I behave. To other people’s behaviour towards me. To the things that show up in my life. To what I make things mean. To how I feel. Some of the insights and...

Setting goals and intentions isn’t necessarily a recipe for success

It’s generally considered that goal setting or setting intentions is a good thing. If you search on Google Images for “Goal Setting Quotes” you’ll find loads.  For example:             For many people setting goals and intentions is vital. It fuels them, inspires them...

Is 2017 the year you’ll “get there”?

I was lurking on Facebook the other day and I came across a post from someone who was assessing the interest level for a tele class he was considering offering.  It was for people who were not “there”, but wanted to be “THERE” (wherever there was for them). It was...

Are you at a crossroads?

I am inspired to write a blog post based on something I just read on Facebook: “Feel like I’m standing at another one of those dang crossroads!  Oh well, time to flip a coin.” I used to experience this a lot – having to make a choice and agonising for days (or weeks)...

Time to Talk my Walk!

Over the past few days I have been re-listening to Ken Wilbur’s audio book “The Theory of Everything” (as well as re-reading his book “One Taste”). Wow!  It’s been like a gazillion pennies dropping all at once (yes, I am prone to exaggeration). Even though I...

A Beautiful Autumn Day

It is a beautiful Autumn day and I am sitting at the side of a lake wondering whether or not to get my laptop out to write to you. Or should I simply experience the beauty of the moment, noticing the rich tapestry of green and yellow and gold as the leaves gradually...

Oops I think I threw the baby out ….

Last Wednesday I was asked to speak at a local networking group.  I got so excited - ooh yay I’d love to speak. And then I saw the topic was on Packaging Products and Services – something which I have a lot of experience and expertise in - but a topic I was no longer...

Already Knowing

This is the second blog post I have started today. In fact this is probably the 6th bolog post I have started over the past couple of weeks.  I start but I never finish. And when I notice the same thing playing out several times I get curious – what’s underneath. ...

The Quest for Balance

As we head into Autumn, we naturally turn inwards, into reflection, into letting go. It is a time when that which no longer serves us can naturally fall away. We don’t need to force anything or “make it happen” we simply need to align with the energy of the seasons...

How much time do we really have?

This morning I awoke as I do on many occasions with tons of ideas I wanted to share with you. They still tend to start out as rather a mish-mash instead of one coherent message but that’s ok – the clarity generally comes later. And the thing I want to share with you...

Will it work?

Before I went on holiday I received an email from an incredible lady who had decided to attend my upcoming event Gateway to Freedom. However before committing she had had some doubts. One of them being “will it work?” Know that feeling? For me it’s a very familiar...

The catalyst which gave me the courage to speak out

I never thought politics would be the catalyst which gave me the courage within to speak out. What happened in Britain during the EU referendum last week shocked and deeply saddened me. Not because of the decision that was made. But because of the anger and judgement...

Judgement is the glue that keeps us stuck

Most mornings I wake up inspired by some blog post that wants to be written. Whenever I’m out and about (especially when I’m swimming or walking) I get even more inspiration. I have so much to talk about and so much I want to share –yet when I sit down to write I clam...

Compartmentalising. Could it be Sabotage in Disguise?

Have you ever noticed that when you say “yes” to up-levelling an area of your life – another area comes crashing down? Or you decide to go after a long-held desire and something comes along which sabotages it? I have seen this play out time and time again with...

Lawn-mowers, divine timing and energetic alignment

Lawn-mowers, divine timing and energetic alignment I never thought I’d be so excited about a ride on lawn-mower. But we’re getting one delivered this afternoon and I’m soooo excited (I know my husband thinks I’m nuts too). However I wanted to share the story about...

Just when you think you’ve got it sorted!

Earlier this week I got asked: “So what's your new direction?” It made me smile because I keep thinking I’ve explained what I’m up to and then I get feedback like this which makes me realise I haven’t. So anyway this is what I wrote: “ People have a desire for x...

Wanna Talk?

Wanna Talk? It feels like such a long time since I posted. And this week I realised that the reason I hadn’t been in touch was because I was trying to “get all my ducks in a row” – great marketing copy, new branding, new website, new radio show, etc – and when all...

Transformation

Transformation Where to begin? Why am I even here? Haven’t I figured this out by now? Ten years Ten years, a battlefield, as I grapple with this thing called life - Lows - Highs - Hurt - Disappointment Watching: The sullen teenage, who doesn’t want to be here The...

If you want more clients

If you want more clients If you’ve been reading my latest emails you’ll know that I am moving away from teaching people how to get more clients and make more money in their business. What I’ve noticed is that many people want their business to be really successful so...

A New Direction

A New Direction If you read my earlier blog posts, you’ll know that several weeks ago I announced that my business was moving in a new direction – that I’d decided to drop all my online programmes and move away from teaching people how to get more clients and make...

Time for Letting Go

Time For Letting Go Two weeks ago I decided I was moving totally away from internet marketing and no longer offering any online products and programmes. Yep, just when everyone is launching new online programmes and wanting to get passive income streams up and...

Mummy you lied

Mummy You Lied I’m truly sorry, I wasn’t telling the truth when I wrote my blog post yesterday (or as my 8 year old daughter would say “Mummy you lied” – she simply doesn’t accept honest mistakes, to her they’re lies– gotta love kids). I wasn’t aware I wasn’t telling...

A Magical Journey

A Magical Journey My goodness it feels like I got on a Bullet Train last week and it’s just started to slow down as it heads towards the station. I would love to tell you it’s been fun – but that would be lying.   However it has been the most extraordinary experience....

Uncharted territory

Uncharted Territory I have started several articles to you over the past 2 months only to abandon them several hours later as they were rambling and unclear. And this is very unusual for me because normally my writing, especially emails and blog posts, flow fairly...

Ever feel like a square peg in a round hole?

Ever feel like a square peg in a round hole? I recently attended an event and for much of it I felt like a square peg in a round hole. Everyone else was loving it – having amazing aha’s and insights, feeling so inspired and really excited about the future. I sat at...
